Somebody made a good point about Ryan Bennett on Canary Call, and being dropped after an outstanding performance at Stoke. Bassong came in and has been dreadful. Hughton's team selections are often baffling and that can't be good for team morale. The lack of spirit shown today is indicative of a couldn't care less attitude towards the manager. We have no natural leader among the players to galvanise the squad and Hughton's decision to put an unfit Van Wolfswinkel on towards the end of last week's game and his refusal to give Becchio any kind of game time shows he has completely lost the plot. I would have no hesitation in getting rid of him, although there aren't too many obvious successors around.
