Non-football thoughts from last night.

(since all you internet nurd keyboard warrior trolls spent the evening squinting at s**t online streams and could benefit from some knowledge from the real physical 3D world out there)

1) Aside from cheering Hernandez's goal, the loudest noise from the Man Utd fans in the first half was the collective slap of seats folding themselves up as they all adlusted thier jackets, got ponchos out, etc etc when the rain started "We're dry over here, we're dry over here, we're Norwich City, we're dry over here" was the chant from HA HA HA, the very funny NO REALLY away fans, to the tune of every football chant that has ever, or will ever exist.

2) MediaCity is really funky. I want to go back for a proper poke about in the day time, but at night with the neons on and all that - really nice.

3) MediaCity is also a *great* place to park if you're watching a game of Association Footballs at Old Trafford. 10 minute walk to the ground (15-20 if you don't put a march on - I'm a fairly quick walker by habit), but getting there and getting out in the car is a piece of piss - just off the M602. I was home an hour after getting to the car. Last time at OT it took an hour just to get away from the Cricket Ground.

And only ?4.50 for the parking - I walked past local commercial units doing parking for ?8 and ?10.

4) Norwich fans wearing commemorative half-and-half league cup scarfs. End times.

5) I didn't think the chants calling for Murphy to be brung on while Snoddy was getting treatment were quite as starkly out of order as has been presented below. It was after he'd been on the floor for ten minutes, it was clear that he was going off, and it was just support for Murphy really. Not dismissive of The Snod at all. He got a tremendous round of applause in appreciation while stretchered off from the Nodge fans, but also a good clap from the home fans in the North stand, which I liked.

6) Having said that, a lot of the chants from the Nodge were *really* *really* small time. "If that was us, you'd have sent him off" after a pretty run of the mill foul. Fuck off. "We're only here for a day trip, here for a day triiiip". No, really, genuinely, please do f**k off.

I may add to this list as the day progresses.
