IT help please!

I am completely numpty when it comes to IT and would be grateful for any help!

Basically, I am trying to install Citrix to set up a server client at home so I can log into work

When I try to install Citrix I get a messge saying "Please wait while Wondows configures MetaFrame Presentation Server Client"

and then the machine hangs up and that is that

I am ensured by the IT folk (via Bangalore!) at work it is my computer but they say there is nothing they can do about it and have no idea where the problem is as they can't get onto my computer

Does anyone ahve any ideas? Have I inadvertedly deleted something crucial to run stuff off??
