I just don't get why

almost everybody says categorically that we can't really expect anything from matches against so-called 'top'teams.

So far this season Villa have won at Arsenal, Southampton won at Liverpool, West Ham won at Spurs, WBA won at Old Trafford.
At home Villa and Cardiff beat Man City.
