The Getty had a drab collection? Blimey, must be loaning out all the good stuff

Haven't been there, but they buy just about anything that comes on the market. We stayed in Century City, which is a dump; but Disneyland was great - but you had to drive through plenty of s**t to get there.

We did Highway 1 too & it is incredibly beautiful. We only had one day in San Fran because it was just after the quake, so we didn't want to hang around ... Would have like to have had a night out or two there. We also missed Death Valley because we couldn't get through the snowed-in pass in Yosemite. We did however discover the joys of a truck-stop breakfast in Bakersfield though - awesome as our American friends would say.

Did you go to San Diego? Lovely old town and the best Vans shop in the world down by the beach.
