Stoke Today
One of our shorter away trips, and for once we headed away from the Britannia Stadium happy. Some observations:
- From the start we pressed high up the pitch, tackled and won 2nd balls. Tettey and Fer immense.
- Wolfie put a shift in, so much running, but needs a ball in front of him to run on to, and a goal for the confidence. What's the Wolfie song's words?
- Back 4, so solid. Initially concerned without Bassong, but Ryan Bennett had the vision and ability to steer a pass from the back.
- Ruddy, dominated his area, surely better than Hart.
- Wings, some nice link-up play, but would have liked to see more from Pilks and Snodgrass. (Numpties on the Pink Un calling for Redmond as a sub when he wasn't on the bench, injured)
- Fine support from the Away End as ever, especially long chants for Chris Hughton
- Pie good. Car Park queue to get away from the ground was huge, but it was sunny and we won!
