I'd go for a wordpress...
are ready to go it full time and want a proper website the blog site will help provide traffic to the main site. It's not just about the site, it's about visability. A lot of developers will build a site and then you find out about the difficulties of getting it found.
The sites I build are always SEO based - important if you are relying on it to bring you business.
WP is also easy to set up without having a domain name, which, as you have no business name yet, is handy. When later you decide on a name and register a domain name it is not too arduous to have that DN point to your WP site.
