My issue(s)
No one could replace Lambert, however unlike Swansea who replaced an attacking manager with an attacking manager and have since won a cup and got into Europe and finished ahead of us twice in the premiership, we have gone backwards and even though he has improved the defence a little our attacking play is almost non existant.
The thing I hate is that I'm not surprised if we lose and I hate that, under Lambert it didn't matter who and where we played, I honestly thought we could win every game, we didn't but the belief was there. Now it's a case of "we are playing Hull away I hope we win." This manager has destoryed my belief in the team, the manager, the tactic's, can't beat Villa at Home or score with a penalty, destroyed by Spurs - Not a surprise, can't beat 10 man Hull at Hull, fluked two goals against Everton and beat Southampton but still struggled to score. A big issue is if we need to be 12 points ahead of 18th with 4 games to go and Villa had a harder start and are 2 points ahead of us (As Lambert's style of play has the beating of us at Carrow Road, but we are at least keeping the score down now), we should be worried - I just hope there are three worse teams in the league, and I thought Hull was one of them, but they seem to be able to score and pick up points. Sorry to be a bed wetter (or caring for the club, however you want to call it) but I just can't see what the Hoots in brigade can see.
What worries me is this is so much like when Worthy was in charge (Playing for draw's, not scoring goals, no away wins, getting rid of Norwich legends, playing people out of position), that it scares me that a) McNally wasn't around to see it and it's making history repeat itself and b) Hoots is destroying all the good work that McNally and Lambert have done and is taking us backwards towards Championship.
We have a top 10 side, we have great attacking players but if they aren't allowed to attack then we are in trouble!
Sunday is already a must win looking at the next three/four fixtures.
I'm expecting a barrage of abuse for not believing in Hoots and the club and being so negative, but in my defence it's all been brought on by Hoots and I've kept (Fairly) quiet till now!
