I can?t help thinking England Under-21 prospect Nathan Redmond has made a mistake moving to Norwich.
He apparently wanted to work again with Chris Hughton, who he played under at Birmingham.

We all know Hughton is a nice man. But his tactics won?t help Redmond at all, and that?s a shame because this is a young and creative English player with big talent

In December 1982, as a young Spurs defender, Hughton was interviewed about his football philosophies by Shoot! magazine.

The finished article was titled: 'Less attacking ? more success' and judging by Norwich?s performance at Spurs on Saturday, it?s something he still strongly believes in 31 years on.

Hughton?s approach from the off was to 'stay in the game.'

And when losing 2-0 with 16 minutes left he took off Redmond and replaced him with defensive midfielder Alexander Tettey. Also off, striker Johan Elmander, and on came winger Anthony Pilkington.

All the while, ?5million striker Gary Hooper stayed on the bench.
