United pioneered that tactic of stealing youth players from other clubs

In the event, the players didn't make it at United but Hull, Oldham and someone else (Barnsley?) missed out on decent young players who might have made them some much needed money. One of them was called David Brown - don't remember the others. Remember Aston Villa doing the same with Gareth Barry and Michael Standing a bit later when Brighton were absolutely desperate for money - disgraceful.

I never liked George Graham's side but Wenger's team are so inventive when they're on form that I can't help admiring them. United and Chelsea both play good football but there's something about the way Arsenal put moves together that's just breath-taking.

It's Man Utd PLC that really bother me - they'd have the vast majority of English clubs go bankrupt so they could form a European Super League if they could. Be interesting to see how Glazer develops them - I suspect it will be entirely bad for English football, though.

Although most of the United fans I've met have been pricks, worse than the Gooners I know - something to do with growing up in Surrey I think.

Oh, there's so many reasons why I hate United, and it's close to bed-time ... Here's one of the many, though ...
