I was reading the post match comments on a Southampton forum after our win last week end. I was surprised to see how many of their fans were thinking that Lambert had had his day day. Very similar to the comments we were reading about Holt when the news was breaking that he might leave - he'd done a good job, would be a hero but time to move on and make new heroes.

Interesting that on the back of that, he's now starting for England. Anyway, good luck to him! For what it's worth, I thought he was better than their expensive new Italian striker.
