It was well known that EA would have been obliterated in a nuclear war.
It was well known as the US Aircraft Carrier East Anglia. My boss was in the UK Civil Defence in the 70s and told horrific stories about what to expect and what to do to the injured.
Seem to remember a film that we were banned from seeing for years about the nonsense of the Govt's guidance for surviving a nuclear attack but can't remember its title.
