Anthony Pilkington believes that his club Norwich City should not have sold James Vaughan this summer.
Having spent last season with Huddersfield Town on a loan deal, striker Vaughan joined the Terriers on a permanent basis in July.
However, having seen the 25-year-old score a hat-trick during yesterday's 5-1 win over Bournemouth, Pilkington has claimed that the Canaries may have been too hasty in parting with his former teammate.
"Another hat-trick for my man @vaughany08 the guy is on flames! Thought we should have kept him but our loss is a big gain for @htafcdotcom," the Republic of Ireland international wrote on Twitter.
Vaughan has found the net a total of five times so far this campaign.
