sometimes they become more defensive and solid themselves when it happens
many times you hear how hard it is to break down a 10-man team, mainly because they stop attacking themselves
that's no excuse though tbf, we should've had enough fire power and quality to unlock them yesterday and beat them, I think the penalty didn't help as it gave them a head-start on us and a lead to protect
we will seriously need to improve getting all our new attacking quality firing on all cylinders though, right from midfield to striker(s)
it's funny how whittaker was one of our most attacking and direct players last week, similar to the times last season when russ martin was doing similar from defence and we were requiring goals from seb and turner from set pieces etc
now we have RvW, Hoops (soon, hopefully), Johan and Redmond to add to the attacking mix, it would be nice to see them all gelling well (along with Fer, Olsson etc of course) - easier said than done though maybe
time will tell (but I'm hopefully optimistic tbh)

- Playing against 10 men isn't such a sensationalist point. To make it one (NCFC) - pants, Aug 25, 10:59:15
