I don't regard our eventual points tally as a success because

I believe we could and should have done better looking at where we were pre Christmas. Safety should have been secured well before it was big we did not try and win a match for about 3 months.

It was only because we had to win and therefore had to go for it in the last few minutes V Everton and against WBA and Man City that we saw us plAy some better stuff and even that was aided and abetted in the latter two by the opposition being on the beach.

I just believe a positive, motivational manager would have this squad playing much better. He has assembled a good squad but won't give them the freedom to play.
