I find the whole show bizarre............

If you have an amazing idea, you really wouldnt need the show. And the fact people are willing to sell a huge % of their company/idea for relatively small amounts is a bit strange.
I could see the value in going on there with a great idea/company and turning down all offers flat so you get the publicity.
