Blue Lagoon is close to Keflavik which is the airport you're probably using

It makes perfect sense to spend time there right after you've arrived, or just before you fly out. Give yourselves a good 3-4 hours to really enjoy it; so if you're on an afternoon flight (say five) get there mid-morning. They're used to doing this and the lockers are big enough for all your luggages. You get a wristband which you can charge things to and you settle up at the end.
