I don;t have a problem with the 4-2-3-1 formation

I think it can work very well for us. What will be key is whether the players (especially the fullbacks) are given more licence to push forward.

i am hopeful that the athleticism and presence of Fer will enable us to have two box to box midfielders this season (him and Howson) rather than just two holding midfielders. If that's the case and the fullbacks get forward more this formation will work well.
