I think we should be careful not to get too far ahead of ourselves and start thinking we deserve players that would better belong in the top 6 clubs

It's nice we're competing in similar transfer markets occasionally (Toby etc) but it's no surprise we might be left with their unwanted or players that are too risky to be signed by a top club until they've had a few good seasons in the prem (I'm thinking RVW and Fer mainly)

So any decent transfer targets which are not on the big clubs' radars but were definitely out of our league a few seasons ago, get a big fat YES from me

(but that's because I also trust McNally and Hoots, the scouts etc, to come up trumps more often than not - of course sometimes it won't work, nothing ALWAYS does in life, but so far, we've done very well on the transfer front since Hughton/McNally have been involved in the club)

I suppose it's exactly what shareholders do in large corporations, they put a lot of trust in the company's management and board of directors etc to increase the value of their investment - unless they're massively failing in which case enough investor power (usually from institutions) can overturn them.

I know we're fans more than investors in NCFC, but still, McNally and Hughton are more than suitably qualified in my opinion to know what they're doing on our behalf.

Bryan Gunn/Glen Roeder/Peter Grant/Bryan Hamilton etc (well that's another story.....)
