Question re: World Cup tickets...

I'm afraid I'm a newcomer to going to big tournaments - is it going to be at all possible for me to get hold of England tickets (other than at 2mins before the games and at extortionate prices). OR is my best bet to pick a city and go to the games there?

Sorry, may be a really dumb question - but i know there are quite a few people on here that go to England games quite a lot.

Any advice would be appreciated!
