WRIGHT COMPLETES ONE-MONTH LOAN
CANARIES boss Nigel Worthington today claimed his fifth loan signing of the season bringing Wigan defender David Wright to Carrow Road on a one-month loan deal.

The 25-year-old who's primary position is at right-back has also featured in other defensive positions for both Crewe and Wigan and will go straight into the City squad for Saturday' s clash with Luton Town wearing number 19.

The terms of the loan will mean the player is eligible for City's next six matches including the home fixture with Southampton on December 17.

This move will see Wright renew old acquaintances with former team mates Dean Ashton and Jason Jarrett. Wright made 209 appearances for Crewe, four as substitute in just under seven years before signing for Wigan in June 2004. Although he played a key role during the Lactic's promotion-winning season making 32 appearances (12 as substitute), he has found his opportunities limited this campaign.

David said: "It's a great opportunity for me. It's been a bit frustrating for me this season though obviously the Wigan lads have done fantastically well. I don't think anyone expected them to be second in the league at this stage. It means my chances have been limited and I jumped at the chance of coming to a good club like Norwich to hopefully kick-start my career."

City boss Nigel Worthington commented on his signing: "He brings us more quality and experience to the squad. It's a good deal for David and for us and it gives him a chance to get some football under his belt and he'll go straight into the squad for Saturday."
