PM: Schtevindutchland - re iTunes.
I had a lot of trouble with iTunes on a newish laptop and I generally don't like it, although I'll admit it's better recently albeit still f**king huge.
I bought Julie an iPod Classic for last but 1 Xmas. At the time we only had a few albums ripped to her lappy and didn't get round to putting on more till just before this Xmas.
When I plugged it in, the laptop found it but iTunes refused to recognize it and froze up.
After 2 rainy Sundays of trying everything on the iTunes support and forum pages, I took it to work, plugged it into my pc and it worked straight away. Took it back to Julie's, plugged it in and, bob's your uncle, worked perfectly.
Black magic I reckon.
PS,
iTunes actually isn't that bad tbh, but I have to have something to moan about for Christ's sake
