I know what you're going through
I have a Birman that we only allow out in our garden - no further a field.
He got out in July last year, he went on the Friday evening and he didn't come back until the following Tuesday.
We didn't think we'd see him again.
He's very distinctive looking though, so
putting leaflets with his photo on them through neighbours doors worked well, as soon as he'd come back to the area we had a few calls and one of our neighbours took him in.
Other than leaving food out, making people aware that she is missing, and having a look around, there isn't a huge amount you can do. I do recall though when I was looking for ideas in much the same way you are now, that leaving some used cat litter out in the garden can help (the scent may guide her home if a little lost). I also called all the local vets to let them know he was missing and called the council just in case he had been hit by a car (I'd rather know than not).
Although you look at her as this vulnerable little ball of fluff unable to cope in the big bad world (same as I viewed my cat) ultimately she is a cat, and all cats are very able to look after themselves! My guess would be that she's either shut in somewhere and will be back as soon as she's let out again, or she's got scared and hidden somewhere and will come out again when she's ready. The Internet is packed with stories of cats that go missing and come back days or sometimes even weeks later like they've never been gone!
