I was at the new board + McNally fans meeting July 2009 (as I?m sure were you) when he stated that his work was then split 75% on getting a team together and 25% working on the finances, but once the squad had been assembled it would be reversed and most of his time would be working on the finances. And presumably Alan Bowkett as well - corporate recovery was one of his business areas he was well versed in.

I think that the date we might welll have been in serious trouble was more towards the end of 2009 (stand to be corrected here though) which is what prompted announcement that the debt repayments were deferred to the end of that season.

I *think* we may well have avoided administration but the real consequences would have been felt if we had not been promoted straight back to the championship.
