Whether he thinks a couple of years bench warming on a slightly bigger wage (let's face it, Chelsea will hardy pay him astronomical amounts as a backup) vs. slightly less (yet still huge) but maximum opportunity of genuine progress is hard to call though.

I hope Dave Watson has his hear too. He can tell him exactly what 2nd/3rd choice keepers can expect in terms of the national side.
