Would Be Much Discontent If Ruddy Sold

The club has the support and goodwill of the very great majority of fans now, perhaps more than at any time in its history.

Selling Ruddy would lose, I think, a lot oif that-it would be shades of the "little old Norwich" who yielded and snapped everytime a 'bigger' club came calling for a players services.

Even when we needed the money we still capitulated rather too easily. But now that we don't and we are, publicly, looking to progress and better ourselves, under progressive leadership, to concede and sell one of our best and morew important players still, thats a very retrograde step.

Yes, every player DOES have his price. But ?5 Million for Ruddy? ?7 Million? Do one, please. Mignolet is the standard bearer, he's been quoted as moving for ?10 million and he isn't in Ruddy's league. If Ruddy DOES have a price-make it ?15 million. Ridiculous? Yes, to Chelsea, of course it will be. Thats the idea.

Does he want to move? I suspect he might rather be looking for us to show that we value him and want to keep him-in words and deeds. Apart from CH saying "he's part of our plans", very little has come from the club. They may think it not worthy of further comment-I wish they'd nip it in the bud, put it to sleep so we can all move on.

And with respect to Bunn, who is a good keeper-he's not as good as Ruddy, nor does he have the presence in terms of his character or his leadership.

I'd rather hope CH doesn't think we have a replacement in Bunn and there isn't going to be, in the event of Ruddy leaving, a big "we have a great replacement in Mark" thing going on.

This has gone on for too long now and needs to be put to bed. Sell Ruddy? Inconceivable.
