I don't understand why they're paying so much

It's only half a million less than they sold him for. If they waited another month till QPR were getting really starting to sweat about his wage bill I'm sure they'd get him a lot cheaper. Anyway, wasn't he desperate to leave Russia when he went to QPR in January?
