Would love to go back someday

even to work again. Worked on third floor (Mitsubishi offices but only in Joint Venture) at the Henderson Centre opposite the International Hotel and then we moved to 21 Jianguomenwai Dajie in the Chaoyang District (just down towards Silk Street and the Embassy Area.

Lived at the Lee Gardens Apartments back towards the main shopping area. Can still say the words for a taxi driver to get me home but can't write them. So was very close to Tienanmen Square, Main Railway at the back of the office etc. Used to spend time at the John Bull PH as the Brits from the Embassy (what a bunch of drinkers they were) used it so was good for socialising.

Expect Bar Street has now been bulldozed. Franks Bar by the Workers Stadium was another haunt. Oh and the Den and Maggies Place for the more seedy experiences. They'll have all gone now I expect or were cleared for the Olympics.

Still have a fantastic CD and DVD collection thanks to the dodgy back street sellers.

Worked all over China but based back in Beijing and sometimes Shanghai.
