Many years experience of all types of school, up and down the country and for all the whinging and moaning stirred up by the press, education in the average comp is far better now than in the Grammar school I went to in the 70's. 'Dumbed down s**t' is a really silly blanket dismissal of the present system, but even if you think there are problems, how about some evidence based consideration of how things can be made better rather than this knee jerk wholesale rejection of everything, to replace it with something else?
