I don't disagree that there have been big flops in this league...

But I think you ask any football fan who they'd be more excited about the prospect of signing and most would go with the guy who's played internationally for one of the world's greatest footballing nations, rather than a chap who's worked his way up from non-league to the SPL.

I don't think you can criticise people for that.

I am a little pessimistic about Hooper's prospects if he does sign, but that doesn't mean I don't want him to do well.
