What not to say before a world cup play-off...?

"Uruguay forward Alvaro Recoba believes his country deserves a World Cup place more than Australia.

He said: "We're a big country with a big past and we've got a right to play. Uruguay has a divine right to play. Uruguay is Uruguay."

There was me thinking the standard line was "no-one has a divine right to play in the World Cup" etc etc.

Can't quite decide who I want to win between Aussies and uruguayans. Would be great to see the Aussies do badly there. But on the other hand, Uruguayans generally seem to do the pantomime villain act rather well - and you do need a baddie or two to make a good world cup....
