Margins are so fine in the premier

We finished 8 points clear in 11th, which is a fantastic finish and an excellent season. Hoots has done well in that respect and I'd back him to buy well and continue to improve the team next season.

At the risk of being unpopular and there are a lot of ifs, I think our finish masks a couple of truths we ought to acknowledge. For a good proportion of the season we played some drab, ineffective football and made heavy weather of securing our status. Hopefully we'll see more performances like west Bromwich and man City, less stoke and Wigan.
