The guy who worked the Radio was Micky Burn. He had a remarkable life and a doc
umentary was made just before he died a couple of years ago.
He was the last man alive who met Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin and Hitler (for about an hour he owned a signed copy of Mein Kampf before it fell through a hole in his car floor), he was a lover of Guy Burgess, friend of the Astor's and indirectly saved the life of Audrey Hepburn by effectively funding the purchase of penicillin when she was 9 years old).
The Reason he was in Colditz is unclear as he was captured after the St Nazaire Raid (watch the Clarkson documentary on Youtube) where he won the MC and was seen in a German propaganda film as a "beaten loser" but held his hands in a V for Victory way to send a signal back to Britain that basically they had won...
His Autobiography occaisionally is available for sale - the hardbacks go for around ?240 and the paperbacks ?90!!!
