which is the road I get to the ground on, so was brilliant for getting away after - was home an hour after final whistle, but I expect a few thousand mancs fans staying behind for the end-of-season clappy helped that.

I asked the guy at the car park if there was anywhere good nearby to get a pint - he goes "Yeah, turn left, the Victoria's just down there." Well, I got there nice and easy, but it was a low, squat, flat-roofed bunker of a s**thole, pebble-dashed in council-house grey, with every window tinned-up, and a door made out of a sheet of plywood. Loud shouting from inside. I figured I wasn't so desparate for a pint of s**t lager that I couldn't wait five mins and get one at the ground, so that's what I did.
