I wanna go to Egypt soon...

...it was pointed out to me last night that it was unsafe to go and see the pyramids et al, but Dan seemed to be perfectly safe as he breathlessly eulogised about pharaoh this, sun worshipping God that...

So my question is this: is it any safer or worse than anywhere else in the world at the mo?..
