They were playing 80s music ...
... I mean the Brightonian art students who "ironically" dress in this 80s garb. The music was just pretentious art-rock for the most part. They were playing a track I really loved when I got in, and then apart from Talking Heads and Gang of Four, everything else they played was s**t.
