Not A Chance
It would destroy football in Scotland. The Scottish FA would also be undermining their "independance" which tehy hold so dear, evident by their decision to not be involved in the GB Olympc team.
Two Scottish teams would come under the jurisdiction of the English FA and Football/Premier League. How could they still say they wanted Scotland to retain its nation status within FIFA after that?
Non starter. Either go all the way (British league, GB football team) or don't bother. I know Swansea and Cardiff are Welsh teams playing in the English league, but they have been doing so for ages, Cardiff for 100 years or so-you wouldn't get a Welsh team from the FAW getting into the English leagues now, and neither should Celtic or Rangers. All about TV money and sponsorship and to hell with Scottish football.
