Whoa whoa whoa I DO feel sorry for him

Regardless of how professionally affable he was, there's a look in the eyes there. Don't get me wrong, I'd still give him the boot, but I guess what I'm saying is that it IS only a game, but it's one played and run by human beings who still exist when we stop looking at them for a week.

Sadly it's a game that carries a disproportionate weight of meaning for the many of us - and I do mean me - who rely on our preferred mercenaries to make our lives slightly better for a day or two.
