He certainly deserved the opportunity

based on everything that he has previously achieved for the club. However, even then he probably deserved to be sacked after the first dozen champs games in 05/06.

One thing that I do wonder is how different things would be if we had stuck with Worthy instead of bringing in the Grant/Roeder/Gunn triumvate of managerial s**t. I guess the fans would have made his position untenable, but would we have been better off on the pitch? Possibly.
