The other point he missed making (though i thought his point was in bad taste and badly timed) is that the USA before 9/11 only really had one other famous "outside" terrorist act - which was also on the twin towers in the early 90's (car bomb in the underground car-park by islamic extremists) - and America "terrorisim" has mainly been by americans themselves (waco, high school shootings, omaha bomb etc etc) - - therefore their security services arent really experienced in obsovational security/tracking etc (how they failed to latch on to 9/11 is beyond belief) - whereas in the UK we have over 40 years of experience dealing with domestic terrorism.... The London marathon is this weekend, and whilst I'm sure there will be a lot of concern, I'm confident in our British security services ability to cover all bases and keep people safe...... as per Olympics, which would have been the terrorists creme-de-la-creme.
