As for the rest of your post, I agree completely. The Duopoly created by the FPTP electoral system, imo, is responsible for the partisan bilious politics we now have in the Uk and USA. A PR system with people able to vote for a party that actually reflects their views would create a much more balanced political opinion and debate.
