I doubt that he just looks to sign s**t CB's, the only one he has signed as a prem manager is Vlaar, a good player by all accounts. I doubt that Lambert would actively look to sign players like Barnett in the prem.

In fact you could use your false point about Hughton and the board in regards to Randy Lerner and every Villa manager since MON, sell, sell, sell. Villa's squad is weak.
