No we have a poor team being held together by an astute manager

The fact is we don't have many Premier League quality players - Bassong/Turner/Ruddy/Wes ... I'm struggling to name any more really. Pilks shows flashes of quality but goes missing for too long and too often during games. Snoddy is 100% effort but falls short on ability to get crosses in - tends to get beaten in and around the opponents box.

Kamara is a nice fella, great PR but just isn't very good, which is a shame really. Holt has virtually packed it in, Johnson has done pretty well - perhaps I've been harsh on him - just about good enough. Howson doesn't look at all comfortable, seems to want more time to consider his options but rarely gets it.

Cafu is 100% committed but does get stranded out of position - again, maybe I've been harsh on him.

Just for fun, next time we play just do a quick "how many of our players would get into their team, how many of theirs would get into ours" - that tends to show how light weight we are.

Hoots knows that we have a poor team - we don't have a Benteke, Weimann, Kone, Michu etc to get us out of trouble. Hence the defensive tactics. I reckon we'll scrape home this season, spend big in the summer and do alright next year.
