What can we realistically do to improve the team?
I've defended Hughton for the most part this season but he's clearly running out of ideas. We literally have no plan b which is both worrying and a big depressing.
I look at our squad and Pilks and Ruddy aside, I can't see anyone there who I'd trust to come in and change things which again is worrying however I do believe Fox at least deserves a run out simply because the other midfielders have been so average.
Despite our sucess in the last few years, we have no players with any real pace who can be dangerous enough to hit teams on the break which again, is depressing. The way we play needs pace yet Hughton has managed to overlook this completely. I've heard a few people say all we need is a big, strong, quick striker but everyone wants one of them and we got rid of the only player who vaguely fit that description.
I would love to see us try the diamond again but Hughton seems obsessed with having protection for his full backs, to the detriment of the team attacking wise so pretty certain we won't try that.
