Is it really that dumb though?

On the face of it (without knowing all the nitty gritty details) I would guess these are the possible scenarios:

We stay up - he's laughing/we're laughing

We somehow manage to get dragged into the bottom 3 (rather unlikely in my opinion tbh, but still possible granted) - he joins, plays part of a season in the chumps league, scores SHIT loads and gets bought by a Prem club for a profit to us (oh well)

Whatever happens, it's another Paul Lambert style acquisition I think, we all benefit whether he stays for several years or gets tempted away by a bigger club (just not Villa please!! that would seriously offend me lol)
