It's not as though this is all going to be banked as profit and make clubs rich. Every individual and busines supplying services to Premier league clubs knows the revenue is going up, and that clubs can afford ever higher salaries and charges. It's going to be hugely inflationary on the cost base and any club that gets relegated is going to be saddled with huge overheads in the Championship.
It is going to be critical every single season to stay up, so we will always be looking back over our shoulders at relegation.
Only the very, very well run clubs will be ok if they go down, but to be well run means not having spent obscene amounts on transfers and wages, which every other club will be doing in order to try to stay in the league. If you don't spend big, you wont be able to compete, but if you spend big and go down...
I don't think it's going to make a fun future for clubs of our size/stature, whether we stay up and become perennial strugglers or go down.
