I know in Italy that they often rather than release the manager from his contract, and pay
him off, they require him to work at the club (or be on garden leave if required)
That's why you often see Italian clubs reappointing a manager after sacking his successor, as he is still o the payroll.
Possibly the same in Switzerland? I don't know.
