Do players need motivating though?
I thought as professionals it is part of your job to be up for the game? Some dressing rooms have characters in them that motivates them. Terry Butcher and Tony Adams when they played helped gee everyone up. Personally when a team doesn't appear to make an effort it reflects badly on the players and the manager. I can't see how Worthington can keep his job now after the QPR game and this no-show happening two weeks later.
