Mick Dennis had a very interesting line on TalkSPORT earlier

He was suggesting it wasn't necessarily our choice to pay it off, but a requirement that was put in place when we were hanging on by a thread at the start of League 1.

Now it may be just me that hadn't appreciated that fact, but certainly it put a different slant on it for me. Of course, the argument then could be open up new credit lines, but I'd suggest its nowhere near as simplistic as just - debt payment over transfer window profligacy.
