They congregate there, and basically ambush you. It's the only way to get to the away end from my experience. The weird thing is that the police don't seem to care, or if they do then they're just too scare / lazy to move them on.

I've got mates who have been there supporting other clubs, e.g. Sheff Utd, Ipswich (everyone needs at least one scum friend to take the mickey out of after our victories over them), and they've also had similar experiences.

The whole thing is just very, very intimidating.
